Garage Door Repair & Installation in Mint Hill, NC
Mint Hill's Hometown Garage Door Company
Rise Up is based right here in Mint Hill. When a spring snaps or the opener quits, you’re calling a local family business, not a national call center, and we’re close by.

- BBB A+ Rated
- Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite
- LiftMaster Certified

Why a Local Garage Door Company Makes a Difference
A garage door problem usually shows up at the worst time. The door won’t open and you need the car, or it won’t close and you can’t leave the house open. Having a company in your own town helps.
- Shorter drive, easier scheduling. Being based in Mint Hill means we can usually fit you in sooner than a company coming from across the county.
- Easy follow-up. If something isn’t right after a repair, or a warrantied spring fails, we’re not hard to find.
- Reputation you can check. Ask your neighbors. We’re a Nextdoor Neighborhood Favorite, and a lot of our customers find us through someone down the street.
“This company came recommended to us by a neighbor & now I would recommend to anyone.”

Door Replacement
Repair or Replace? How We Help You Decide
We get asked this a lot, and the honest answer is usually “repair it.” Most garage door problems are a spring, a cable, a roller or an opener part, and fixing those costs far less than a new door.
Replacement starts to make sense when:
- The door is decades old and several parts are failing at once.
- Sections are cracked, rotted or badly dented and matching panels aren’t made anymore.
- It’s an uninsulated door on an attached garage and you’re tired of the hot or cold room above it.
- The opener is so old it has no safety sensors.
If we think repair is the better deal, we’ll say so. If you want to see both options, we’ll price both and let you decide. One of our customers replaced the original wood door on a 33-year-old house with an Amarr steel door and a LiftMaster opener with a camera and the myQ app. That was the right call for that house. It isn’t for every house.

A Two-Minute Garage Door Safety Check
Your garage door is the biggest moving thing in your house. These checks take a couple of minutes and are worth doing every month or so:
- Reverse test: lay a 2×4 flat on the floor under the door and close it. The door should touch the board and go back up. If it doesn’t, stop using the opener and call us.
- Sensor check: the two safety sensors should sit low, near the floor, facing each other, with steady lights. Wave something through the beam while the door is closing. It should stop and reverse.
- Balance check: pull the red release cord with the door closed, lift it halfway and let go. It should stay roughly in place. If it drops or shoots up, the springs need adjusting or replacing.
- Kids and remotes: keep remotes out of reach, and teach kids never to run under a moving door.
If anything fails, don’t try to adjust springs or cables yourself. Those are under serious tension. Call us and we’ll take care of it.
Who You'll Talk To When You Call
When you call Rise Up, you’re usually talking to Adam, the owner. He started the company in 2016 after seeing his own mother get taken advantage of during a garage door spring replacement, and he’s run it the opposite way ever since: answer the phone, show up when you said you would, and explain the problem before quoting the fix.
That’s not a slogan. Customers bring it up on their own:
“First, he answered the phone when we called. No voice mail. No “leave a message.” He answered. Second, he gave us a time (10am to noon) when he would be on site the next day. He arrived at 11 am.”

Rise up was quick to respond and prompt with service. From the start Adam was kind, explained everything to me thoroughly, and was upfront about the pricing. I accidentally ran into my garage door and cracked the frame. He reinforced it in less than 30 mins and had it working like it was brand new! I am so thankful to him! They are very affordable as well and I will recommend them to all. Very happy with my service!Posted on Google![]()

Adam was very responsive when I asked him to come to my home to give me an estimate. Once I decided to go with him, her was able to do the work with in a week. Repaired/finished the install on an old Genie opener that had been under for 15 year. Installed a new Liftmaster opener on the 2nd door. Replaced all the wheels on both doors. Excellent work. Reasonable prices.Posted on Google![]()

I recently had the pleasure of working with Rise Up Garage Doors, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their service and the quality of the motor that was installed. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and efficient. Adam was incredibly responsive, and quick to tend to our issue. He was punctual, professional and well prepared. He assessed the issue with my garage door swiftly and provided a clear explanation of the necessary repairs. We ended up needing a new motor as our was about 20+ years old and in bad shape to where our door wasn't opening any longer. He made sure we were fully informed about the work being done and the costs involved, which were very reasonable. The new motor is wonderful, we can barely hear the door open/close with all the key updates we needed. Overall, I highly recommend Rise Up Garage Doors for anyone in need of garage door services. Their fast, efficient, and professional approach sets them apart from the rest.Posted on Google![]()

Mint Hill is home base, so we’re in and around town most days. We also work in neighboring Matthews, Indian Trail and Monroe, and across Charlotte.

Mint Hill, NC
Hours: Monday through Friday 8 to 5, Saturday 9 to 2. Closed Sunday.

When you work in your own town, you run into your customers at the store. That keeps us honest, and it’s why we’d rather do a repair right once than come back twice.

Mint Hill Garage Door Questions
Are you actually based in Mint Hill?
Yes. Rise Up is a Mint Hill company. Adam started it here in 2016 and we serve Mint Hill and the surrounding Charlotte area.
Do you work on Saturdays?
Yes, Saturday from 9 to 2. We’re open Monday through Friday from 8 to 5 and closed on Sunday.
Is it the spring or the opener?
Pull the red emergency cord and try lifting the door by hand, halfway. If it feels very heavy or slams down, it’s most likely a spring. If it lifts easily and stays put, the problem is more likely the opener. If you see a broken spring or loose cable, don’t lift it at all. Just call us.
My garage door is really loud. Is that a problem?
Usually it means worn rollers, dry hinges or a door that’s out of balance. It’s rarely an emergency, but it’s worth fixing before it wears out the opener. Our noisy garage door guide covers the common causes.
Do you work on older doors and openers?
Yes. We repair older doors and openers when parts are still available, and we’ll tell you honestly when an opener is too old to be worth fixing.
Which opener brands do you install?
We’re LiftMaster Certified, so most of our installs are LiftMaster. We repair most major brands, including Chamberlain, Genie and Craftsman.
