Concord Is a Longer Drive for Us. Here's Why That's Fine
Rise Up is based in Mint Hill, and Concord, up in Cabarrus County, is one of the farthest stops in our service area. We’d rather tell you that up front than promise a time we can’t keep.
Here’s how we make it work:
- We ask questions first. The type of door, what it’s doing, how old the opener is. That way we load the truck with the right parts and finish in one visit.
- We give you a real window. If we can’t reach you today, we’ll say so and book the earliest time we can actually keep.
- We call ahead. You’ll know when we’re on the way.
If your door is stuck open and you can’t wait, tell us when you call. We’ll do our best, and we’ll be honest about whether we can get there in time.

Choosing a New Garage Door Without the Sales Pitch
A new garage door is one of the bigger changes you can make to the front of a house. Here’s what actually matters when you pick one:
- Material: most homeowners choose steel. It’s durable, low maintenance and comes in a lot of styles, including woodgrain finishes that look like wood without the upkeep.
- Insulation: worth it for attached garages, rooms over the garage, or a garage you work in.
- Style: raised panel is classic. Carriage-house doors with decorative handles and hinges add a lot of curb appeal.
- Windows: a row of glass across the top brings light in. Keep privacy in mind if the garage faces the street.
- Opener: if yours is old, it often makes sense to replace it at the same time.
We install Amarr doors and other trusted brands, and we’ll give you options at different price points without pushing the most expensive one.
“Our old wooden door was original to our 33 year old house, the runners showed some rust, and the opener had become “temperamental” in cold weather. Adam was prompt for his appointment and gave us several different options in doors and openers.”

Garage Door Off Track or Hanging Crooked?
A door that has come off its track, or hangs lower on one side, is one of the calls we take most seriously. It usually means a cable came off the drum, a roller popped out, or a spring failed on one side.
What to do:
- Stop using the opener right away. It can pull the door further out of line and bend the panels.
- Don’t try to force the door up or down.
- Keep kids, pets and cars clear of it.
- Call us and describe what you see, especially the cables and springs. That helps us bring the right parts.
Once we’re there, we’ll get the door back on track, replace any bent hardware or frayed cables, and figure out what caused it so it doesn’t happen again.
“He put my garage back on it’s track and fixed my bent garage without me even asking.”

Built on Doing What We Say
Adam Piana started Rise Up Garage Doors in 2016 after more than 35 years in home services, including time as a locksmith. The reason was personal: his own mother had been taken advantage of during a spring replacement. Rise Up exists to be the company he wishes she’d called.
That shows up in small ways. We tell you the timeline before you order a door, not after. We give you the price before we start a repair. And if something isn’t right after we leave, we come back.
“It was about 8 weeks between ordering and install, which Adam had shared with us up front. Installation went great and in no time we were up and running.”

Rise up was quick to respond and prompt with service. From the start Adam was kind, explained everything to me thoroughly, and was upfront about the pricing. I accidentally ran into my garage door and cracked the frame. He reinforced it in less than 30 mins and had it working like it was brand new! I am so thankful to him! They are very affordable as well and I will recommend them to all. Very happy with my service!Posted on Google![]()

Adam was very responsive when I asked him to come to my home to give me an estimate. Once I decided to go with him, her was able to do the work with in a week. Repaired/finished the install on an old Genie opener that had been under for 15 year. Installed a new Liftmaster opener on the 2nd door. Replaced all the wheels on both doors. Excellent work. Reasonable prices.Posted on Google![]()

I recently had the pleasure of working with Rise Up Garage Doors, and I couldn't be more satisfied with their service and the quality of the motor that was installed. From start to finish, the entire process was seamless and efficient. Adam was incredibly responsive, and quick to tend to our issue. He was punctual, professional and well prepared. He assessed the issue with my garage door swiftly and provided a clear explanation of the necessary repairs. We ended up needing a new motor as our was about 20+ years old and in bad shape to where our door wasn't opening any longer. He made sure we were fully informed about the work being done and the costs involved, which were very reasonable. The new motor is wonderful, we can barely hear the door open/close with all the key updates we needed. Overall, I highly recommend Rise Up Garage Doors for anyone in need of garage door services. Their fast, efficient, and professional approach sets them apart from the rest.Posted on Google![]()

Concord Garage Door FAQs
Do you really come out to Concord?
Yes, Concord is part of our service area. It’s a longer drive from Mint Hill than most of our calls, so we’ll be upfront about when we can get there.
Can you come the same day?
Sometimes. It depends on the schedule and when you call. Calling in the morning gives us the best chance. We’ll give you an honest answer on the phone.
Is an insulated garage door worth it?
If the garage is attached, has a room above it, or you use it as a workspace, usually yes. An insulated door helps keep the temperature steadier and tends to run quieter. For a detached garage used only for parking, a non-insulated door is often fine.
How long does a new garage door take?
It depends on the door. Stock doors come in sooner, and special orders can take several weeks. We’ll give you the timeline when we quote it, before you commit.
One section of my door is dented. Do I need a whole new door?
Not always. If the manufacturer still makes a matching section, replacing one panel can work. If not, or if several sections are damaged, a new door is often the better value. We’ll check and tell you.
A cable came off the drum. What should I do?
Stop using the opener and leave the door where it is. A loose cable usually means the door is hanging unevenly and can bind or fall. Call us. Our broken cable guide explains what’s going on.
